In my opinion I believe that Iago is a sociopath:
- Iago repeatedly shows easy agitation or agression:
- Repeatedly says that he "hates the Moor"
- He kills Roderigo without a second thought
- He kills his wife
- He convinces Othello to kill his wife (Desdemona)
- He has lack of care for the safety of himself and others:
- Shown through the kiling of his wife and Roderigo
- He convinces Roderigo to kill Cassio (and laughs the entire time they are fighting)
- He burns himself durin one of his soliloquys\
- He does not care about stealing money:
- He steals all of Roderigo's money
- He constantly lies to himself and others
- He tells Othello how Cassio is sleeping with his wife
- He talks about how he doesn't even trust Cassio with his own wife Emilia
- In order for Iago to recieve proper treatment, I believe that he should:
- Be committed to a hospital for the criminaly insane wher he should:
- Be treated with electroshock therapy
- As well as frequent studies on him in solitary confinement in order to find the cause of his hate
