There are several characteristics to having antisocial personality disorder; Iago has three main ones that a person can easily pick up on. These characteristics being deceitfulness, reckless disregard for safety of self or others, and lack of remorse. Throughout the play, Iago is manipulating others and does not care if they get hurt or not. At one part of the play, Iago tells Rodrigo to fight Cassio knowing that Rodrigo would lose. At the end of the play, when Iago is convincing Othello to kill Desdemona, he tells him to kill her not with poison but in their bed. He does not care that he is telling Othello to kill the woman he loves, this does not even affect his mind! During this part of the play, you see Iago not expressing remorse! When Iago is talking to Othello, he is telling him lies and convincing him that Desdemona is being false with Cassio, Iago is being deceitful to Othello! These are all key factors to Iago being an antisocial personality disorder patient.
